I like the intercooler set up. You fit up the bumper yet?

What coil is that. I was thinking about a hvc 2 coil, but keep choking on the price

Yeah bumper is on, needed trimming of the mount webbing since its tilted forward. Its a Blaster SS Coil.

Well, first impressions are,

The new block, DEFINITELY brings this turbo on. Gonna need to upsize the turbine housing if not the turbo itself. Im really curious how this new head will perform. We shall see. Initial tuning today went well. Hopin to be on the track the 11th. We shall see.

If your new head is as big of a change as we did on our car. Might need to get a new turbo. We on the blue car had the 60-1 with a stage III wheel on it and with a dry rev you could get about 1-3psi. Then we put the race head we have on the same motor  same every thing in brothers new car and a dry rev was building full boost. On the Road with the gas barly down it was under full boost by 3k. We put a larger turbine on it a stage V one. Its a good deal larger then the stage III

rom smallest to bigger.

Now with the stage V wheel on there its usable but it I think is still to small. Able to get full boost at about 3200rpms might be less. Had so much tranny problems not sure its getting full load like it should. Over the winter there will be a small change going to just put the race cam in the car. And well brother wants to rebuild a stock tranny from the ground up and see if he can get it to hold the power.

Yeah Im curious what this head will do. Truthfully Ive been at the limit of this turbine since mid last year. Not sure how much itll help but prolly gonna try a .81AR housing and 4" DP first. Im betting a step to a larger unit is in order though. Prolly a 65mm ~ turbine wheel. Gonna see if this will carry me into the 10's first though then sell it.

Theres really no need, its pretty obvious the back end is loading up by comparing fuel tables and dyno data. Aslong as youve taken all the obvious issues out of the equation.

Im sure Ill run out of pump soon. I have BAP to throw on it but need a bigger pump or 2 in the end.

Tuning has fully commenced. Just tuning on the spring for now. Once thats gtg and I have a tank full of meth Ill really start pouring it on.

Well, decided to get ready for the track and threw together a very rough tune Sat night and adj the clutch buuuuut not enough.

headed to the 1/4mi on Sun morning. Unfortunatley rain closed every track in DFw except one of the 1/8 miles. Which was fine since the car hasnt saw the track in exactly a year.

made a handful of passes and shifting was off and on. I have a leak or something. bled and readj at the track.
Never got shifting working so had to short shift the whole night.
went like this
1st Pass: walked out of the whole and easy shifting
Boost at 15psi, AFR's in low 10's
2.0 60ft 8.6 1/8mi

2nd: Hit the launch a little hard with boost at 15psi
1.7 60ft 7.9 1/8mi
Adj fuel somemore and shifted good

3rd: Left on launch control and boost @ 22psi
60ft 1.666    hit 1-2 and couldnt get in 3rd so I let off.
7.9 1/8mi @ 64mph lol

4th: Launch Control and 25psi
60ft 1.5 missed 2nd then got it in, missed 3rd and got it in
7.7 1/8mi @ 92 AFR in 10's

5th: Let car cool. Same boost. Hit hard on LC and spun spun spun...
60ft: 1.9 1/8mi: 8.0 @ 98.8

6th: Went straight back and really heated the tires. Hit it with the same set up and it wouldnt shift.

Lots of cooling and some mustang wanted to run.
7th: Same setup
60: 1.6 1/8: 7.3 @ 98
AFR was wavering hi 10's low 11's.

Coulda gone much quicker but the missed shifts were making me nervous so I never shifted it like I was racing.

Ran another time but trans was not having it. I gotta find out whats wrong with the hydraulics before I go again. All I cared to see was what MPH it would pull. I knew it wasnt gonna let me shift. btw, I never took it over 6000rpm on either run.

Last year the car was trapping 97's with 26psi, 6500rpm WOT shifts and better 60's.

fix clutch
Larger turbine housing .81ish
get the 3.90's installed
Hop on a dyno and tune the bitch.

Shifting issue turned out to be the helicoils in the fidanza pulling out on 3 of the pressure plate mounting bolts. there was enough room to see the threads between the plate and flywheel!!!!

So stock lightened flywheel back in.

3.90's and restack c/w

Gonna pass on the turbine housing and set my sites on a larger turbo down the road so mine will be for sale soon.

No dyno, but should be on the track with Joe this sunday.
